Just got our wellness check. Each baby weighs 6 lbs 3 oz (!) and looks healthy – good heart rates and both are practicing breathing which is a good sign for lung development. Both are still breech, chilling with their heads together under my right ribcage and their butts in my pelvis. I’m 48″ around, no sign of gestational diabetes and my blood pressure is 112/68, but that will be increasing dramatically if these fat, wiggly babies don’t vacate sometime in the near future. 6 days til 36 weeks. 6 days til 36 weeks. 6 days til 36 weeks….(and at that point we’ve probably avoided the NICU). Grow babies grow!! And then come out and meet your family. We’re ready for you!!
Wow! Over 6 pounds already? That’s great! You rock Mama!! 🙂
Over 12lbs of babies in there is IMPRESSIVE. So close to 36 weeks!
Wow! I haven’t checked on your blog in awhile and I didn’t realize how far along you are. Great job mama!!! 2 6 pound babies!!! You are fantastic. And complain away about pregnancy. The best thing is how good it will feel after your two little ones are born. I think I smiled the first month after my baby was born thinking “I am not pregnant right now” “I am not in labor right now”. tiny babies are hard but you get to look at them and hold them and, if you are really tired, hand them to their dad and go to sleep. I so much prefer post-pregnancy.
(: (: (:
That is a lot of baby you are carrying around. I would be willing to bet you are already past the point of needing any NICU time. At my hospital, anything before 34 weeks was automatic NICU, anything after was case by case.
